ESL Quiz

This is a simple general knowledge quiz game. It is meant for beginner-level ESL students. The aim is to give students an engaging way to practice general English. It can be useful for teachers to fill time at the end of a lesson or to give quicker students something to do while waiting for others.

The quiz shows an image, a question and 4 possible answers. When the correct answer is clicked, the question text is reworded to state the answer and the image changes to one that further illustrates the answer.

When the question is shown, a countdown starts and points are awarded based on how quickly the question is answered. If an incorrect answer is given, no points are awarded.

The quiz questions are grouped into 3 different sets. Each set has 5 rounds of 6 questions. The topics covered are as follows:
