Christmas Game

This is a fun ESL game for students to play over Christmas.

The game has 2 parts. The first part is anagrams. You are shown jumbled letters and have to rearrange them to make a Christmas-themed word. In the second part, you have to read the text and then move the images to make the Christmas scene.

The game is divided into 3 rounds. The language used in each round is shown below.

Round 1

• Santa
• Gift
• Christmas Tree
• Wreath
• Stocking
• Decorations
• Give the gift to the children.
• Put the wreath on the right.
• Put the star on top of the tree.
• The stocking is over the fireplace.
• Decorate the tree.
• Put the presents under the tree.
• Add Santa

Round 2

• Sleigh
• Reindeer
• Elf
• Snowman
• Carol singers
• Father Christmas
• The sleigh is over the trees.
• Have reindeer pulling the sleigh.
• Put the elf on top of a house.
• Put the snowman in the bottom right.
• There are carol singers next to the tree.
• Father Christmas is on the sleigh.
• Make it snow.

Round 3

• Turkey
• Christmas candle
• Gingerbread man
• Snowflake
• Mistletoe
• Presents
• Put the turkey on the table.
• Have some candles on the table.
• The gingerbread man is on the table.
• There is mistletoe on the wall.
• Put the gifts on the left.
• There are snowflakes in the window.
